Modeled after the Story Corps project as heard on NPR radio, individuals, groups and families are invited to record their own bit of oral history which will be archived with the City of Charleston. In return, they receive a free CD copy of their recording. This year the focus will be on Veterans of foreign wars; the African-American community with rememberances of Charleston's Triangle District; and the local Civil Rights movement of the 40's, 50's and 60's. Recording sessions by appointment. Special consideration will be given to home-bound individuals.
