Kathy Anderson from Dayton, OH will call to the live, local old-time music for contras, squares, and more. Beginners welcome, Partner not required. Soft-soled shoes please! Casual dress. All dances are preceded by instruction and a walk-through. Contra dance workshop for beginners at 7:30pm, dances start at 8pm.

A 45-minute program of varied dance styles. Capital High Dance Company is an auditioned ensemble of dancers that attend Capital High School in Charleston, WV. The diversity in this group lends to its interesting blend of styles. The Company performs works that include tap, jazz, classical ballet, contemporary ballet, modern, lyrical, musical theater and multicultural.

Dance in Davis Park
Carli Mareneck of Trillium Performing Arts Collective has delighted audiences with a wide range of new works for FestivALL Charleston since 2006. On Saturday June 26 she will present a new dance at Davis Park inspired by paintings from contemporary Navajo artists including Tony Abeyta and two paintings by 20th century expressionist Franz Marc. The paintings evoke a sense of ritual respect for animal wisdom and mystery. Performances at 1pm & 5pm.
